Our Educational Program consists of brochures and posters for hospitals, doctors offices, daycares and other public entities. Our website, YouTube channel, Facebook page, Twitter all provides ways that helps the public determine safe products from hazardous products for their children. We also produce videos as a way to educate the public on window covering safety by working with local production companies.

There is nothing more devastating than losing a child. A hug box is sent to the door of a grieving parent as our way to send them a hug and letting them know, they are not alone. Inside the box is a stuffed animal for each sibling, awareness bracelets, bereavement books, educational materials, and comfort helps. This program also helps provide funding for grief counseling and grief coaching services.

Our Safety Testing Program is the only testing program in the nation that specifically targets childhood strangulation hazards on window covering products. Eligible products are sent to third party testing labs for analysis and then assessed by our Testing Committee who awards passing products with the Seal of Approval. Look for our Seal on products in stores near you!  Donations will cover cost of testing equipment and overhead of running this program.

Child loss is so unexpected. 100% of the money in this fund goes directly to support funeral expenses of families who have lost children. If you would like to support a family, please indicate on your check, by website or by your email.

Parents for Window Blind Safety has been educating consumers and parents to “Live Safe- Go Cordless” since 2002. As a virtual volunteer for this non-profit you will be educating parents and caregivers of the dangers of corded window coverings and helping to save lives of the most precious humans on the planet, children. We need help to distribute flyers, host awareness events in your city, graphic design help, and create change that will impact your community for future generations. You will have the opportunity to assist grieving families with writing to their Representatives to create laws and safety standards. You will be helping fundraise to continue to grow this non-profit and continue to provide support for families that have been affected by this hidden danger.

As a local volunteer, we need assistance in the office.  Heavy marketing and social media is the main skill set needed.

We need help in creating a lasting change that will save lives. What is a better calling than to save the lives of innocent children?  Please contact info@pfwbs.org and put Volunteer Opportunity in the subject line.
